Cindy lives in Walland, TN with her husband, Bob.  She began quiltmaking in 1974 when her two sons were young.

Her love of handwork is evident in her own hand pieced patterns.  She incorporates hand embroidery in several of her designs which are based on traditional American patchwork patterns.  She is inspired by scrap quilts made in the late 1880’s.

Cindy’s fine handwork skills have been featured in Better Homes and Gardens American Patchwork and Quilting, Rodale’s Favorite Techniques from the Experts, and Chita’s Traditional Quiltworks. Cindy was chosen by Better Homes and Gardens for their first “Circle of Excellence” in May 2005 to honor their top designers.

Her quilts have won various awards and have hung in major exhibits in Florida, across the United States and overseas.
