Coming in the August AP&Q magazine

Hi everyone!

I just got the preview pictures of my new “Handmade Medallion” quilt that will be featured in the August issue of Better Homes and Garden’s American Patchwork & Quilting.

Here is the cover so you can recognize the issue when it appears in your favorite quilt shop or retail store.

Here is the picture of my quilt as it appears in the magazine:

I used the Sunburst Set of Stamps and the Tall Triangle to make this quilt.  Order your stamps and you’ll be ready to hand piece your own version.

Included in this issue is a great article on hand piecing using the stamps, so won’t want to miss it!

Be sure to look for your copy at your favorite newsstand after June 5th.

Until next time,

Happy Stitching!

  1. Hi Cindy, I’m going to try again with this beautiful quilt which I love so much. You know what I mean by trying again. I think this is one of your best quilts, but I say that all the time.

  2. Hi Cindy,
I remember seeing this in progress at the retreat. It turned out beautifully! Love the colors and the border! I will be anxious to see it in the magazine!

  3. Cindy, I have purchased the last 2 magazines you have been in, so I will for sure get this one! Your quilts and handwork are magnificent!

      • Cindy, I unexpectedly had to go to my son’s home out of state to help watch children for possibly the whole summer. I didn’t bring any kind of hand work to do. I was able to get the latest American Patchwork and Quilting with your Medallion article. I had to buy all sorts of supplies to attempt it, for I have nothing here. I made templates, but I can see how the stamps would be SO much more helpful. I tried to watch the video recommended next to the picture of sewing the inner circle (allpeoplequilt.com/572) but they must have listed it wrong , for pillowcases kept coming up and really no videos. So, I looked under your blog for the sunflower (I found it easier to sew on the circle side). Also, I have decided sewing circles is for more advanced people, and you really need to concentrate, so you (or at least I can’t) can’t work on something like this with a 2 1/2 & 5 year old around!!! As you say, practice, practice , practice!!! You sort of “saved” me with your article, so I can work on something I have wanted to for a long time! Thank you! Shelley

I'd love to hear from you. . . .
